The Flood System Repair Project (FSRP) involved collection and reporting software used by field staff to collect and report data regarding Points of Interest on California Levees. The software, built with Microsoft Access with Excel integration, utilizes WiFi connected cameras for live photo tagging, touch-screen optimization and immediate calculations to ease processing time and maintain accurate data.

The water level behind a levee in California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, shown Aug. 16, 2011, is higher than the surrounding land, showing the risk of flooding throughout the region. Under the CALFED Levee Stability Program, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District is studying how best to quickly fix urgent levee problems while a longer-term plan for reducing flood risk throughout the Delta is developed.
